Day 6- Survival Shelters

  3. I always thought about doing this in the wilderness before. It would provide you a lot of comfort against insects if you could get it very air tight on the outside (consider using tree saps and mud to surround the materials you use to surround a shelter).

  4. I always prefer having at least one rock wall myself, but this is a good way of building a shelter.

  5. My brother and me make these when we go camping to sleep in, even in colder weather these work GREAT as temporary shelters in the wilderness, however we tend to use option #2 and use all natural items found around the forest

  9. That's pretty useful if you fall from a crashed plane/helicopter you'll have a parachute to make the ideal shelter with.

  10. A useful shelter by the look of it. In the wilderness I've always had a tent so not needed this.

  18. One thing that would help in a situation like this is if you had some paracord. That stuff is vital in a survival situation due to the many different things it can do.
